Melanie Jayne Lynskey, born on the 16th of May, 1977, is a New Zealand actress. She is known for her unique role, with a soft voice and a strong personality. She primarily works in independent films. She has received an award from the New Zealand Film Award as in addition to a Hollywood Film Award as well as the Sundance Special Jury Award. Lynskey's film debut was as a teenage killer in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures (1994).
