Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor also a director, actor, and musician. She has helmed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf’s CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was chosen as one of the eight directors for AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Her short film and TV series proof of concept called Unspeakable, starring Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober has had its World premiere at SXSW and won the Best Episodic Award at Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made in the short form Temporary (2017 directed by Milena Vandervoort) has been shown all across the United States. It was awarded the title of Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also presented at the Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 episodes of television as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) which was the Dick Wolf series, was her second big role. The result was her being named the Emmy-winning female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family] as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been in numerous films which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) with the lead alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she graduated with two major vocal performances and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Soon after she benefited from her classical ballet training to perform on Broadway in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production of 'Cabaret' at Studio 54.
