Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

 Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on May 12, 1972. Her most well-known character is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) in which she was twice awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also appeared on NBC's Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She grew up in a family that was constantly moving, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. Following in the footsteps of her grandmother and father, she studied painting, drawing and building from the age of a child. Although she was interested in all of the arts in her life, she also developed a passion for acting. In college, she was introduced to contemporary theatre. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn, at the time of her college graduation, wanted to go into the theater after being encouraged by her acting professor. She was employed in ancillary positions within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to make her stand out. Although she eventually managed to get major roles in local productions of theater and had to work odd jobs in order to make ends meet however, she continued working in the field of film as a teacher filmmaker. Soon, she was able to be cast in TV productions. She was often seen in roles that were "very humorous and sarcastic" similar to her idol Bea Arthur. The majority of her roles were cancelled after only two or three seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is an attorney and the lover of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
